Not only does the company provide employment to over 100 employees, it has also invested heavily in converting redundant farm buildings into office and industrial space, to provide industry and employment to other sectors of the rural community.

Old Park Meadow natural burial ground is set in a tranquil setting on the land of Strutt and Parker (Farms) Ltd.  The newly planted woodland and meadows create a natural haven for wildlife and provide a more environmentally friendly way of burying a body in natural materials that will biodegrade and leave no harmful substances.  Old Park Meadow are committed to delivering a personalised, flexible service with staff that are able to help and fully understand that families may want different types of burials and services with no time restrictions.

Strutt & Parker (Farms) Ltd are committed to the partnership between themselves and The Wilderness Foundation. Strutt and Parker (Farms) Ltd have dedicated 40 acres of land to create the award winning Chatham Green Project which is an educational project based in the heart of Essex. Aimed at educating children about the synergy between farming and the environment, supporting biodiversity, and producing food in a sustainable but commercial way.

The project sees over 3500 school children visit every year from local village schools to inner city schools from London. The children are given the freedom to run around the site, play and learn in a safe environment which is far from the class room.

Strutt and Parker (Farms) Ltd is involved in various projects local to the farming operations. Managing Director, Charlie Fillingham, is chairman of Maldon Sense of Place, a project set up to improve and unify Maldon district where Strutt and Parker (Farms) Ltd farm a large area. The committee is made up of local business leaders and business owners who all wish to see Maldon improve and raise its profile.
